Leave It To An Adorable Little Boy To Ruin The Summer Of White Faced Girls!

It was supposed to be the summer of white faced girls.  Sunflower's baby was to be the 4th cria born this summer and was supposed to be a girl!  At least that's what my sister was hoping for.

Well, leave it to a male to screw things up.  Rock Garden Alpacas 4th and final cria for the 2015 season was a little boy.  An adorable little boy.

Look at his adorable face.  How could you be mad at him for being a boy when he's the epitome of cuteness!  So, my sister named him Stachys.

Here's what my sister had to say about him:  "Here he is! Our 4th and final cria for the 2015 season. Introducing Rock Garden's Stachys a very fine, crimpy bright white full accoyo. Mom is our girl Sunflower and sire is Ideuma Creek Alpacas Accoyo Truman co-owned with Gentle Breeze Alpacas. Very exciting!!"

So Stachys joins his 3 cousins:  Gladiola, Peony, and Marigold.

So now my sister has three adorable female alpacas with beautiful white faces and one "cute as a button" little boy..

HERE'S AN IDEA - Challenging Alpaca Jigsaw Puzzles For Birthday Crafting Party Fun

Two of the products I created for my "It's Raining Doll Parties Products Gallery" included three jigsaw puzzles with graphics that I had designed of the Hawk Family. One of the puzzles has the Hawk family children graphics on hearts, one has their square fabric images on it, and one the Hawk Family graphics with the words "It's Raining Doll Parties" on it.

The jigsaw puzzles come in two sizes: 8" by 10" puzzle in gift box and 10" by 14" puzzle with 252 pieces. The pieces are made of sturdy cardboard and mounted on chipboard and are printed in vivid colors with easy wipe clean surfaces. I decided to try two of the 10" by 14" size puzzles and ordered two of them.

When they arrived I was anxious to try them as I LOVE puzzles of all sorts and have since I was a child. Give me a puzzle to put together, a crossword puzzle to solve, Rubiks cube, three dimensional puzzle of the Empire State Building, etc. and I will work on it until I've finished it or solved it. I spent hours one weekend when I was a teenager solving the Rubiks cube. I worked on it and worked on it and worked on it until I solved it. Sounds a little obsessive compulsive doesn't it?

When I was a child I also adored spending hours on end putting jigsaw puzzles together. My mother did too and we spent many hours over the years sitting side by side doing our jigsaw puzzles. I was thrilled when the Monet impressionist paintings jigsaw puzzles first came out as they were harder to do. I was so in love with puzzles I even glued and mounted some of them on cardboard to hang on the walls in my room. I can't remember what the puzzles were - probably images of movie stars like Robert Goulet or Doris Day or the early rock bands like Hermans Hermits, Dave Clark Five, etc. Who knows. I'm definitely dating myself here.

In any event I've never outgrown my LOVE of puzzles. Kind of like my LOVE of dolls -something else I've never outgrown a love for. I could go on and on but need to get back to the story.

So, I was anxious to try my new puzzles but decided to wait until this weekend as I knew my grandson 'Noodles" was visiting this weekend and thought it would be fun to put them together with him.

I have to tell you that we had a wonderful time putting our two puzzles together.  They were challenging enough to keep us occupied for several hours. Since my grandson and I had such a wonderful time putting the Hawk Family puzzles together I decided to create several jigsaw puzzles for my new "Alpacas Rock" Products Gallery,"

With all those alpacas I think they will be challenging enough. What do you think? Might keep your guests occupied for quite a while. Alpaca jigsaw puzzles for Alpacas Rock birthday or crafting party fun. Or, wonderful children's activities for your alpaca farm days events.  What a great idea.

Plus, they make adorable gifts and wonderful merchandise for your alpaca farm store.

It's The Summer Of White Faced Alpaca Girls

It's the summer of beautiful white faced girls.  My sister has yet another beautiful alpaca baby girl with a white face named Gladiola.   Now she has a trio of white faced alpaca girls: Gladiola, Peony, and Marigold.

Gladiola is Zinnia's 2nd offspring and it looks like she has her mother's beautiful colored fiber.

Now my sister won't have any excuse for not giving me some more of the fiber I love using for doll hair. Hint! Hint!  Hope you're reading this baby sister.

Isn't Gladiola beautiful?

It's going to be hard tellling her apart from Peony, and Marigold - both shown below.

Here's what my sister had to say about Gladiola, "Some excitement on the farm today - our girl Zinnia finally went into labor (6 days late) only head and 1 leg presented; I had to go in; left leg was bent and down under pelvic bone - vet was on his way but I could not wait. I was able to straighten the leg and deliver a beautiful girl. I am SOOO proud of myself - the first time I was able to handle this! Mom and baby are doing fine.

Introducing our herd sire Cosmo's second cria - a girl, my husband Karl named Gladiola because we were so "glad" everything worked out fine and so "glad" the waiting is over!"

So now my sister has three adorable alpacas with beautiful white faces.

Another New Alpaca Baby - Peony - A Twin To Marigold

My sister has another new addition to her family.  Meet - Peony.

Isn't she beautiful?

Except for not having the white on her chest you really can't tell her apart from Marigold, shown in the picture below, who was born the end of May.

Here's what my sister had to say about Peony, "She is here! Rock Garden Alpacas Peony, born yesterday. This is our herd sire Cosmo's first cria - he is Full Accoyo white and her dam is our Gianna's Peruvian Ivy, Full Peruvian dark fawn. Isn't she beautiful.... Cosmo's second cria will be due in 3 weeks, can't wait to see that one!"

So now my sister has two adorable alpacas with what looks to be beautiful fiber colors.  I am definitely going to need lots of their fiber.  Hint... Hint...
