Erin Go Alpaca and Erin Go Blue Alpaca Handmade Alpacas Rock Products Collection

It's always wonderful when you can combine two loves into one. Such was the case with my new Erin Go Alpaca Handmade Products Collection. A combination of my love for my sister's alpaca's and my love of designing custom fabric.

Earlier this year I decided to design some alpaca fabrics and added several (okay, make that many) alpaca designs to my Linda Walsh Originals Spoonflower Fabric Shop. If you'd like to view my Alpacas Rock Collection of custom fabric please CLICK HERE.

One of the fabrics I decided to design was several alpacas standing in the field with a blue sky and green grass background. As blue is my baby sister's favorite color I knew she would love it and want everything I made from this line for her house. Well, in June I decided to order some of the blue fabric and spent a couple days in August designing and sewing pillows, tote bags, mini quilts, ornaments, etc. and decided to name the collection Erin Go Alpaca.

Here's what I made:

LW481 - Erin Go Alpaca Large Pillow - Custom Fabric Handmade Pillow Decoration

Erin Go Alpaca Large Pillow is a 13" by 13" custom fabric handmade pillow decoration that would be perfect for any rustic, country, farmhouse, woodland, or folksy style home. The pillow has four adorable alpaca squares surrounded by solid blue fabric and bordered by green and blue plaid fabric. The pillow is backed with the green and blue plaid fabric and bound with green piping. Solid green ribbons and a green ribbon bow are added to the front as decorative accents.

The "Dollies" Have Decided To Nickname Him "Thor"

His name is Berberis, but the "dollies" have decided to call their new alpaca cousin "Thor."

Why?

Well, they just love him and think he's going to be a lightning bolt of energy.  So, they've nicknamed him "Thor."

Berberis was born July 11, 2013 at 2:45 at  Rock Garden Alpacas. His Mom is Sunflower  and it looks like he'll be light fawn in color.

How adorable is he sitting with his Mom in the picture above......

The "Dollies" Have A New Alpaca Cousin Named Iris

The "dollies" are just tickled pink.

Why?

Because they have a new alpaca cousin named Iris and she is just adorable.  She was born Monday, July 8th at noon at Rock Garden Alpacas.

Iris and her Mom, Ivy.

Iris relaxing in the field.

Just look at her beautiful posture.

Once again, the "dollies" are clamoring to visit their new cousins and, once again, I'm trying to ignore them.  It's getting harder and harder to do.

A New Baby Girl Alpaca Cousin Named Dahlia

The "dollies" have been jumping up and down with joy the last few days.  The reason?  Well, they have a new baby girl alpaca cousin named "Dahlia."  And, she couldn't be more adorable.

Roxy and her new baby girl - Dahlia.

Mom and daughter enjoying the sun.

 A tender kiss from  Mom.

How adorable is she?  Beautiful Dahlia.

Dahlia was born at Rock Garden Alpacas the afternoon of June 12th. By the evening she was out running in the fields.

Of course, all the "dollies" want to go visit their new alpaca cousin. With 1,796 of them that isn't going to happen any time soon.  So, of course, they're already bugging me about Dahlia's Alpacas Rock products.  I'm ignoring the"dollies" for now which is never a good idea, but she and her Mom, Roxy, are on the "to do" list.  So, stay tuned.

If you'd like to read more about the "dollies" new cousin "Dahlia" please visit Rock Garden Alpacas or CLICK HERE for their post "Introducing Rock Garden Alpacas Dahlia!"

Linda’s How-Do-I Series? How To Make Our Alpacas Rock, Babies Splashing In The Rain, It’s Raining Baby Boys, and It’s Raining Baby Girls Custom Fabric Wall Panel Picture New Free E-Book

I just love custom fabric.  Especially when it can be used to make quick and easy picture decorations and was so pleased with the way my Babies In The Pumpkin Patch Wall Panel Picture came out that when I was designing my Babies Splashing In the Rain Fabric Collection and Alpacas Rock Fabric Collection I decided to create several baby fabrics and one alpaca fabric that could be used to create several custom fabric panel pictures.

Last week I finally had some time to create some and decided to start with my Alpacas Brown Panel Fabric which creates a 9” by 12” custom fabric wall panel decoration. It was very easy to make so I proceeded to make my Babies Splashing In The Rain  Fabric Panel Small, my It’s Raining Baby Boys Fabric Panel, and my It’s Raining Baby Girls Fabric Panel.

Since I was making them anyway I decided to create an e-book tutorial showing you how I made the Alpacas Rock Custom Fabric Panel Picture. All four of the custom fabric panel pictures are made the same way. They just use different size fabrics and different size cotton canvases so follow this tutorial for each of them.

New Alpacas Rock Fabric Collection Line

I just LOVE designing fabrics and love it when some of the graphics I create for other purposes end up creating wonderful fabric designs.  Such was the case with some of the alpaca  graphics I created for the Alpacas Rock line of e-printables. The graphics were also a perfect fit for a custom fabric line so I created one called Alpacas Rock Fabric Collection.

My Alpacas Rock Fabric Collection includes 9 Cut and Sew Ornaments fabrics. There are 29 fabrics in total in my Alpacas Rock Fabric Collection based on the following graphic designs:

I just LOVE the alpacas and can hardly wait to start creating. I'm not going to tell you what I'm making with my new alpaca fabrics. That will be a surprise. Stay tuned.
